The social structure articulated in this narrative mirrors the structural reciprocity observed among the bricks of the Nubian arch or vault.
Each brick must be positioned at a specific angle and oriented uniformly, but most critically, it must maintain appropriate surface friction. ‘Touch’ serves as the cohesive force enabling the construction of the vault; similarly, it underpins the social network.
