A kind of

Shadow Play

Guided Imagery through gestalt in pictographic writing incorporated “negative space” as the expression of Emptiness, which was viewed as the ideal state of an educated individual capable of acting as a "canvas or screen for the universe."

This form of imagistic written expression communicated by providing the gist and the essentials while leaving the unwritten to be taught orally.

Thus, shadow play storytelling accordingly evolved haphazardly into cinematography since they share screen, image, and creative use of light.

Later, pantomime evolved––a person capable of playing the Fool to complement, embody, and communicate what could not be said, only suggested.
